Purpose
To help customers who are located outside of our normal service area or for customers whose production schedules do not allow time to interrupt production for regular services, by exchanging tape heads.
What you get
Top or bottom tape heads are fully stripped, cleaned, lubricated, and tested prior to shipment.
Cost
$ 450 each plus freight usually $20 per head (some regional areas may be extra).
Warranty
Should you have any problems within 4 weeks from dispatch we will replace any faulty unit, most cases within 48 hours.

Minimum parts replaced on all exchange tape heads
1 x Blade, 1 x Applying Roller, 1 x Buffing Roller, 1 x Brush, 2 x Orange Bumpers.
Extra parts if required
2 x Track Bumpers, 1 x Brake Roller Shim, 2 x Cutter Springs, 1 x Main Spring.
All other parts requiring replacement or repair may be charged extra for.
Customer’s responsibilities
The exchange program relies on our customers returning their used tape heads quickly (within 7 days) so they can be rebuilt ready for the next exchange. Failure to do this may incur an extra charge (outright purchase total $900).
Cost of the return freight is not included and is the responsibility of the customer.
The returned tape head must be in a serviceable condition.
Should any returned tape head be incomplete, damaged or badly corroded we reserve the right to invoice you for the value of the replacement parts or we will return the unserviceable tape head to you and invoice you for an outright purchase.
All lower tape heads must also be returned with the tape hub and bracket. If your tape heads do not use them simply remove them from the supplied exchange units and return with your exchange so you are not charged extra for them. |
